Prayers During Fasting Week

During our fasting week in CCF, we were asked to meditate on a verse together with a person close to us. I chose my brother. And although we were not able to meditate on the verse as assigned or suggested, we were able to lay down prayer items for ourselves and our family. Here they are:

1. God is going to show us specifically His will for us and our family.
2. God's will, provisioning, health and protection for our family.
3. Pray for deeper relationship/walk with the Lord. Daily walk. Personal quiet time.
4. Filling/Empowering of the Holy Spirit so that we may be sensitive to His promptings.
5. Obsession/Desire in obeying God. So that no matter how difficult the things He want us to do, we will obey even if we do not fully comprehend or foresee where our obedience will lead us. As long as we know that it will please the Lord, we should say YES to it.
6. Pray for God to stretch our faith. Repent from self-reliance. Trust in God's infinite wisdom in all areas of our lives.

Father, I thank you for sustaining me through the week. For providing for my needs and caring for me as well as my family. Thank you for protecting me. Thank you for keeping me safe, for keeping my family and JP safe. Thank you Father for all the blessings and the faithfulness through the years. I ask that you help me become a good steward of these blessings and through them, I ask that I may also bless others. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.

Heavenly Father, I thank You for being the God who knows whats going on inside me. For being the God who cares for everything that I care about. Will you help me today at work, Father God and lead me to the answers I need to perform my duties excellently? Will you cause me to have joy today, gentleness, patience and help me to minister to the people around me. Please guide me today Father, go before me and lead me. Teach me to put my trust in You alone and cause me to have deeper and wider faith in You. Thank you for loving me Father. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Father, will you comfort me? Will you strengthen me and hold me closer to you? Will you cause me to hear your voice, Father? Will you capture my heart and my thoughts and cause me to listen and obey to you? Will you have mercy on me Father and have patience on me? Will you separate from me thoughts that are displeasing to you and thoughts that do not glorify you? Will you straighten my path? Will you cause me to die and live for you?
